Still Life with Commentator : An Oratorio
Commissioned to create a series of video collage pieces based on the concepts of the the Opera "Still Life with Commentator"a project conceived, composed and written by collaborators Vijay Iyer & Mike Ladd, and directed by Ibrahim Quraishi.
These 17 videos where used within the performances of the opera, as 75 foot wide by 3 feet tall moving backdrops, whose themes and meaning changed with the musical, lyrical and performative elements of the piece.
Aaron Deyo and Prashant Barghava also created 5 of the seventeen videos and provided some of the source footage used throughout the pieces.
